Where are you from and what brought you to Seattle?
Evelyn is originally from Puerto Rico. From Puerto Rico she moved to the East Coast of the US before eventually settling in Seattle in 2022. She moved to be closer to her brother and sister who both live in the South Park neighborhood.
How are you connected to SPSC and what are some of your favorite activities at the center?
Evelyn learned about the incredible food and resources offered at SPSC shortly after moving to the area. She now comes in multiple times a week for fitness classes! She has a lot of fun participating in the Zumba classes hosted at SPSC. She has also been attending SPSC’s weekly dinners and activities including Loteria (similar to bingo except with images instead of numbers) on Wednesday nights!
Interests and hobbies
Evelyn loves to stay active while exploring her new neighborhood. She bikes, walks and gets in lots of physical activity throughout the week. In addition to exercising, Evelyn enjoys shopping and traveling for vacation when she can!
